About PetPortugal

I have been a veterinarian in Lisbon for more than 18 years. Over my career, pet owners have asked me again and again: 'Do you know a good hotel for my dog?' or 'Can you recommend a groomer I can trust?' PetPortugal grew out of that need — an organised, trustworthy directory, built by someone who knows the pet world from the inside.

Our mission

We want to be the go-to place for pet owners in Portugal. Somewhere you can quickly find what you need — whether it is an emergency vet clinic, a trusted boarding stay for your holiday, or a recommended groomer near you.

Who we are

PetPortugal was created by Paulo Morouço, a veterinary surgeon with 18 years of clinical experience in Lisbon, focused on internal medicine and surgery for dogs and cats. Member of the Portuguese Order of Veterinary Surgeons (no. 4504).
